A few quick questions, so you land in the right place
Where do you live?
Members are residents of the City of Moreton Bay aged 16 or over. Members can vote at general meetings, stand for the Board, and rate the issues that decide what NCV takes to government.
Friends of NCV can be anyone, anywhere. Friends receive everything we send, can raise issues, join a working group, come to events and volunteer alongside us. Friends cannot vote at association meetings or rate issues on the website — under our rules those two things are for Members.

This confirms your suburb is inside the City of Moreton Bay.
Are you 16 or over?
Our rules set 16 as the minimum age for registering with NCV.
Are you currently a member or employee of a registered political party?
NCV is non-partisan and works with elected representatives of all persuasions. Our rules require us to ask everyone this. Answering yes does not shut you out — it means you join as a Friend rather than as a voting Member.
Do you currently hold elected office at local, State or Federal level?
Elected representatives are genuinely welcome at NCV — as Friends. Part of what NCV does is hold representatives to account, so they do not hold a vote in it.
You can become a Member
Everything checks out. As a Member of Northside Community Voices you can:
- Vote at general meetings, including the Annual General Meeting
- Stand for the Board
- Rate the issues raised across the Northside, which is how NCV decides what to take to government
- Put matters to the Board and to other Members
The form takes about three minutes. We will ask for your street address, because the law requires us to keep a Register of Members — there is a full explanation on the form.

You are very welcome as a Friend of NCV
Friends of NCV receive everything we send and can take part in nearly everything we do — raising issues, joining a working group, coming to events, answering surveys and volunteering on campaigns. Wherever you live, you can tell us what needs fixing on the Northside.
Under our rules, two things are reserved for Members: voting at association meetings, and rating issues on the website.

NCV does not register anyone under the age of 16, in any capacity. That is a deliberate decision about keeping young people safe, not a judgement about how much your voice matters.
You can still tell us what you think, right now, without registering and without asking anyone to do it for you. Share an issue, or answer our community survey — both are open to you.
We will not ask for your name, your email address, or any other way of contacting you. What you tell us is counted in full, exactly like everybody else’s.
You are also very welcome at anything we run, with a parent or guardian. Come back and join us properly when you turn 16.
