Northside Community Voices is undertaking a deep listening exercise throughout the Spring to develop a strong understanding of what is important to The Hills District. The purpose of listening is to establish the evidence around what is important to the community and how well elected representatives are representing their interests.
Listening takes many forms including The Hills District survey face to face Community Catch Ups and Kitchen Table Conversations.
Kitchen Table Conversations are deep dive discussions of around 6-8 people on a topical issue. The discussion can be designed around the issues you are passionate about, whether that is planning changes, climate change, community safety, youth issues or another community issue. Anyone who is interested in attending or hosting a Kitchen Table Conversation can email [email protected] to register their interest.
On Saturday 12th September members spent the morning at Leslie Patrick Park in Arana Hills, listening to families and community members about what is important to them. Their 25% Gas Tax petition was a great hit, as was their community survey.
Northside Community Voices will report back to the community before the end of the year to ensure the community knows how their contributions have been collated and used.
