How priorities inform our ‘voice’
NCV’s voice to our local, state and federal government elected representatives is based on the expressed priorities or desired outcomes that our members tell us they want to see happen. Because our Constitution requires us to truly reflect the opinions of those people who share our values and live exclusively in the City of Moreton Bay, the priorities of our members and other CoMB residents that we talk to or survey is the only basis for our voice to government.
We collect those priorities online and listening through our community engagement activities, collate, summarise and add research until we can identify and articulate the top priorities across a range of social, environmental, economic and governance topics. Our members can then actively campaign for those values and priorities within the community and we can communicate them to and support those candidates or representatives that will fight to achieve them on our behalf.
