Every issue shared with us — here, at a Kitchen Table Conversation, at a market stall — ends up on this page, exactly as people said it. Nothing here has been softened, summarised, or turned into a policy position.
Use the filters below to narrow the list by Working Group or Category, search the issue text directly, or look up an Issue ID if you already know it. If you agree with an issue, click Like next to it to add your support — it’s not a vote that becomes an NCV position, but a signal of how widely a concern is shared, which we take seriously when we report back to representatives.
Only logged-in Friends and Members of NCV can add Likes, and each person can only Like a given issue once — this keeps the scoring honest and prevents manipulation. But if you really care about an issue and want it to carry more weight, there’s a better option than just clicking Like: start a campaign around it. Contact [email protected] and we’ll help you plan it — that could mean writing an article for our Facebook page, starting a petition, getting it mentioned in the local newspaper articles we’re placing, or organising a delegation to the relevant Councillor or State or Federal Member.
Add an alternative view if you feel your own perspective on an issue isn’t reflected in how it’s currently written. Rather than starting an argument in a comment thread, alternative views sit alongside the original, so both are visible. We want this to be a place people can disagree productively — not talk past each other. You’ll need the Issue ID, shown in the grid below.
As with everything on this site, Likes and alternative views are tied to suburb, gender, and age band only — never a name — and we ask that everyone keep this space respectful.
Opportunity Score and Quadrant show how each issue’s importance and satisfaction combine into a single ranking, plus a plain-English category — the same view NCV’s Working Groups use to decide where to focus next. Both are worked out from Likes carrying a rating; issues with no rated Likes yet show “No ratings yet”.
