ADD YOUR NAME: Provide a permanent, staffed office for each Councillor

Council should provide permanent offices in major suburban centres where residents can interact with elected Councillors and interact in privacy with staff on local government business matters.

Brisbane City Council provides a permanent, staffed office for each of its Councillors, where ratepayers, business people and all members of the public can meet with their local Councillor in comfort and privacy.

We shouldn’t have to hold impromptu discussions in coffee shops or on park benches if we want to discuss private matters or community concerns.

This is a proposal that will help our hard-working Councillors perform more effectively and make them more available to ratepayers.
