A Queensland State by-election will be called soon for Stafford. Our community is looking for a local person to stand as an independent candidate – someone who lives here, understands the issues, and will put Stafford first.
Who We’re Looking For
You might be the right person if you:
• Live in the Stafford Electorate
• Are not a member of a political party or any other party machine (including Labor, LNP, Greens, One Nation)
• Are known and trusted in your community
• Care deeply about community issues and services
• Are willing to step up for your community when it matters
You do not need to have been involved in politics before.
Why Stafford, Why Now?
Stafford deserves strong, local representation. This by-election is a rare chance for the community to choose someone who:
• Lives locally and will stay local
• Is independent of party politics
• Will stand up for local issues like health funding, community involvement in planning issues, better transport options and public safety
• Will ask tough questions about priorities and accountability
With major decisions affecting hospitals and health services and changes to land use planning, having a local voice in Parliament matters.
