VoA Directory Terms of Service
Version 2 — 14 August 2026
The Voices of Australia (VoA) Directory is a free, opt-in listing run by Northside Community Voices (NCV) to help independent, community-based Voices Groups find and connect with each other across Australia. Becoming a VoA Editor also registers you as a Friend of NCV. By nominating yourself as a VoA Editor for your organisation and ticking the acceptance box, you agree to the following:
1. You’re also becoming a Friend of NCV
As part of this process you are registering as a Friend of NCV. NCV values courteous and respectful behaviour at all times and online, and undertakes to protect your privacy and the security of all online data. By registering as a Friend of NCV, you agree to comply with our Code of Conduct and Terms of Service, and confirm you have read and understood our Privacy Policy. These obligations apply in addition to, not instead of, everything below.
2. Who can be a VoA Editor
You confirm that you are a genuine, current member of the Voices Group you are nominating to represent, and that you have that group’s authority to create and maintain its public listing. Each Voices Group has exactly one active VoA Editor at a time — if your group later wants to change who holds this role, contact NCV.
3. What you’re responsible for
You’re responsible for the accuracy of everything you post about your organisation — its name, description, logo, website, and the contact details of any committee members you choose to list. Please keep it current, and remove anyone who is no longer involved as soon as that changes.
4. Consent for the people you list
Before listing any committee member’s name or contact details (President, Secretary, Treasurer, or anyone else), you confirm you have that person’s own permission to display their information publicly. Only list what that person is comfortable being shown — you don’t need to list everyone, and it’s entirely your group’s choice how much or how little to share.
5. What NCV will do
NCV does not endorse the policies, positions, or activities of any Voices Group listed in the directory — the VoA Directory simply helps groups find each other. NCV reserves the right to edit, hide, or remove any listing that is inaccurate, offensive, or breaches this agreement, without needing your prior consent, though we’ll always try to let you know first.
6. Your data
Your own contact details, provided when you register as a Friend of NCV as part of this process, are handled under NCV’s Privacy Policy. This VoA Directory agreement sits alongside, and does not replace, NCV’s main Terms of Service and Code of Conduct.
7. Ending this agreement
You, or NCV, can end your role as VoA Editor at any time — just get in touch. Your organisation’s listing will be removed or handed to a newly nominated editor.
Questions about this agreement can be sent to [email protected].
